Photos of the gravestones of Wendel and Lois LEENAN at the Layton Township Cemetery were requested on findagrave; they were taken and their obituaries were also added.
Erika Lees worked on the Enos and Elizabeth BARTLETT query from findagrave for the Layton Township Cemetery. She found an obituary for the wife indicating burial there. She witched the area and found evidence of a man and woman but no stone was present. Erika also found seventeen unmarked graves under the east half of a road in the old part of the cemetery.
Marvin MADDEN from Council Bluffs, who formerly lived here, was a visitor, looking for a record of his baptism.
WGS member Virginia Dennis made a booklet about each of the Walnut firemen in the photo that they have from the early 1900’s. We appreciate her work and donation of a copy of the book.
