Do you know how Hopley Street in Walnut got its name? WGS member Ron Paasch was visiting with a Hopley family from Hawaii at Robert’s Bakery in Walnut. They were curious as to the origin of the street name, being descended from Hopleys in the area. I have found that HOPLEYs owned property along that street.
I have been doing extensive research for Mary Ann Johnson of Avoca, Iowa on her MATTHIES, SIEVERS and HENNINGSEN families.
Rick Blum was interested in the MICKELs from Walnut, so I also searched for information.
Dennis Hoffman from Temple, Texas sent an email that he is researching his great-grandfather Soren OLESEN from Monroe Township. Dennis’ mother was Walnut teacher Ethel HOFFMAN.
