We would like to thank Jim Carey from the Cass County Genealogy Society for sending the obituary of Henry NAMANNY and information on Earl CADDOCK.

We would also like to thank Sandy Ludwick of California for sending information for our Lincoln Township Cemetery book on Freddie YOUNG and on Christian and Caroline STUTZMAN.

We took photos of the former Howard C. MILLER farm and sent the Google Earth location to Joseph Jaeger of Oregon.

I looked for the birth of Etta Maude Coats at the Cass County Courthouse, but did not find it there. Mike Quandt of Johnston, Iowa wants information about her.

Michael Stokes and John Salerno, who live in the former Otto Goettsch house at 601 Antique City Drive, asked us to find information on Dr. Hanna. We gave them considerable information on the doctor, his wife and the building of the home.

We had been asked about voting records in Wright Township by Milissa Casey. I inquired at the County Auditor’s Office and was told that the county’s voting records began in the 1890’s in Council Bluffs. However, since everyone knew each other in the rural areas of the county, voter registration did not begin until 1970. I also looked for a death record for Anna CASEY, but did not find one.

For our project of gathering country school records, I called Dorothy Schwartz Henriksen of Atlantic. She taught at the Morton school, Lincoln Township #6, starting in the fall of 1944. She lost any records that she had in her parents’ house fire.

At the Pottawattamie County Courthouse, I obtained several deeds concerning the property of Stephen N. GASKILL for Brett Gaskill of Walnut.

Darlene Ross e-mailed us asking for the obituary of Catharina H. Jacobsen. After talking to Catharina’s daughter, I concluded that she was not related to the person that Darlene is looking for. Her name is Catharine Margarethe Henriette GRAGE, the oldest daughter of Marie Staack HAMANN.

We received an e-mail from Ulrich Moelck, who was seeking information on Bertha Mertz, who married William Molck. Ulrich is helping Gary Brink and Vicki Christensen in finding information on their family. We put Gary in touch with relatives, Jim Walter of Atlantic and Alice Richter of Walnut.

For William Rasmussen of Los Angeles, CA, I have found considerable additional information. I found Louie, Annie and Wilbert Rasmussen attending Lincoln Township School #1 from 1907 to 1916. Wilbert is listed in the Walnut School records 1916—1919. Louis Rasmussen’s and 7 Pardee births & Emma Rasmussen’s & Anna Lambertsen’s death records were found. In 1920, Ferdinand and Emma Rasmussen were living on County Street, but we do not know where. In 1925,Wilbert Rasmussen was a boarder at Mary Johnk’s house, which we found to be 309 Antique City Drive. Also, Peter Lambertsen’s address was 312 Pleasant Street in Walnut.
