Have you ever heard of a taphophile? Do you know what it means? If someone called you that, how would you feel? As a genealogist, you probably are a taphophile. Most genealogists are. A taphophile is someone who takes an interest in cemeteries, tombstones or memory of past lives.
The word taphophile, taken from the Greek, means “to love graves.” Taphophiles are interested or sometimes obsessed with cemeteries. (Adair County Anquestors, March 2017)
