Another year has come and gone. Where did it go? I’ve been thinking, not just about the past year, and where it has gone, but how time changes things over the years. Like friendships, research, and offset printing.
My high school class reunion will be in the late summer of this new year. It will be number 30.
I didn’t make it to number 20. At the 10th class reunion, it was amazing how we were all friends. I mean, while in high school, I can remember fellow classmates who wouldn’t give me the time of day.
But 10 years later, they greet you like a long lost friend and want to know what you’ve been up to… and they’re actually interested in your answers!
I wonder what this 30th reunion will be like.
Then, I got thinking about how long I have been doing genealogies.
I was still in high school when I started asking questions and looking for answers to my roots.
And look at the advances that have been made in finding information.
It has not come without some hurdles. I remember that time period when the court houses and city halls were not so friendly to genealogists.
