Many of the descendants of Otto and Anna Hansen are buried at Walnut and at Manning, Iowa. Who do you remember from their family? Otto Peter Hansen married Anna Dorothea Hansen in 1857 in Germany and the family emigrated from there to Walnut, Iowa. They were the parents of Ingeborg, Anna Maria, Lucy, Peter Frederick, Anna Dorothea, and Carsten Ingwer. Ingeborg and Anna Maria died before the family immigrated.
Lucy or Lucia married Henry Andresen; they did not have children. Peter Frederick married Margarethea Dorthea Sierks; their children were Otto Peter (same name as his grandfather), Anna Pruter, Amalia Hass, Hugo Hansen, Alma Miller, Lillie Hansen (wife of Alfred), and Hilda Fischer.
Anna Dorothea married 1st Gottfried Schriefer and 2nd Oscar Drehman; her child was Lucy Schriefer Taube.
Carsten married Christina Johannsen; their children were Henry Otto, Wilma, George Peter, Edna Marshall, and Willinda Hogan.
Henry Otto and Lula Longnecker Hansen were the parents of Norma Jean Jones, Shirley Acker, Marilyn Jones, and Gary Lee Hansen, who died as an infant.
George Peter and Ella Spies Hansen parented Ralph Hansen, and Helen Wendt.
