Entitled, An Ordinance Providing for Better Protection Against Fire, In Bl’ks 21 and 22, Walnut.

Be it ordained by the town council of the incorporated town of Walnut, IA:
Sec. 1. That no person shall erect any building, make any addition to, or alteration of, any building situated in Blocks 21, or 22, in the original plat of the town of Walnut, IA., unless, the outer walls of such buildings are of brick and mortar, or stone and mortar, or all wood exposed outside be covered with iron or tin, except the doors and windows.
Sec. 2. Any violation of the above ordinance shall be punished as provided in section 47 of chapter 5, page 65, of the revised ordinances of the town of Walnut, IA.
Adopted and passed under suspension of rules, Nov. 1, 1887.
