Walnut Genealogy Society charter member Lois Evelyn Troll was born on April 11, 1933 on the family farm in Cass County, Iowa near Cumberland. She is the daughter of Herman Antone Eilts, born June 29, 1903, and Wilma Mae Hansen, born, September 24, 1909. They married on March 6, 1932. Lois’ siblings are John Richard Eilts, born November 23, 1934; Edna Ann Eilts Carl, born July 15, 1939; and Ross Carl Eilts, born December 18, 1940.
Lois graduated from Walnut High School in 1952 and went on to attend Beauty School in Omaha. She and Louie Mike Troll were married on May 3, 1953 and had been married for 67 years before he passed on December 31, 2020. The couple lived in the Walnut area their entire married life. They are the parents of two daughters, Linda (Charles) Ploen and Leanne (Jeff) Krueger. Lois also has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
